ICC Colour Profiles

Slide, negative film scanning - including Black & White - utilises the industry standard ICC colour profile system, when sending in an order please indicate the most suitable for your system from the following:

sRGB [Windows^TM P.C] Use this profile for Image Editors on all versions of Windows.

AppleRGB [Mac^TM, iMac^TM Power Mac^TM] Use this profile for Image Editors on Apple/ Macs.

AdobeRGB [Photoshop^TM] This profile is recommended for PhotoShop users on PC or Apple.

SMPTE - C, PAL/SECAM, Colour match RGB, Wide gamut RGB, NTSC, CIE RGB.

The remaining ICC profiles should be used in specific circumstances only, for example Pal/Secam for where images are for viewing on T.V. systems only, or for basic "wide range" compatibility.

If you have scans of Black and White images made using 24/ 48 bit RGB scanning the correct ICC profile should be indicated. RGB scans of Black and White images produces more information than 8 or 16 bit grayscale scanning- effectively separate red, blue and green data which can be adjusted individually or combined then converted to grayscale.
