35mm film scanning from card/ plastic mounted slides/ transparencies, or from film strips- slide or negative - max 6 frames - indicate image for scanning.

Full 48 bit film scanning - 48 bit DAC [Digital Analogue Converter] Dmax 4.8, produces 65,536 "colours" per channel for unpadded 48 bit files -Tiff only requires compatible Image Editor, 48 bit files are double those of 24 bit as listed below.

Each image is scanned individually with a minimum of two pre scans for maximum image quality, scans are taken from the maximum useable image area.

ICC colour profile targets for high colour fidelity with AdobeTMRGB [PhotoshopTM], AppleTMRGB [MacTM, iMAcTM], sRGB [WindowsTM] PC + others, see ICC profiles page.

Digital ICETM function "scratch, dust removal" available on C41 and E6 films. Also available, at extra cost, ROCTM - restores colour fades and GEMTM reduces grain in high ISO films, for further details see Tech Info page.

ICC scans are colour profile matched, +ICE includes "scratch dust removal" function. Files are uncompressed Tiff 24/ 48 bit, JPEG - at 3 compression levels, - LOW produces highest image quality - or BMP format, select via order form. Output resolution is 300 dpi as standard or to specification. Actual scanned film area may vary between camera manufacturers systems. ONLY B&W film of C41 process can use the ICE function.

A 10%  charge is made for 48 bit Tiff files [colour] on CD, no extra is charged for 16 bit B&W on CD or DVD or 48 bit colour on DVD media. Select the appropriate file type on the order form.

NB: Both 16 bit B&W and 48 bit colour files require a compatible image editor to fully access the image data.

A charge of £1.00 applies for either DVD format, [+ or -] on scan order <£12. Postage £3.00 1st class recorded, £5.00 Special Delivery, per order.

Prices listed include CDR discs, CD and DVD disc recorded to ISO 9660 for cross platform use. Original scanned data is retained for a minimum of 7 days as a back up.

Pack films carefully, indicating required scan setting, file type and ICC colour profile, please include an e-mail address, customers who do so are notified on completion of their order with return postal reference number, or should any queries arise concerning their order, addresses are not passed to any third parties.
Liability is limited to material costs [film, processing] and scanning only, any film images of a high value should be insured separately.
